Hey!

My name is Mette Toftemann. I am a 43 year old educated nurse. I live in a little homestead in west sjælland, Denmark, with my husband and our 6 year old son. I my spare time I enjoy tending to my spice garden as well forming stauders and antique roses.

About 5 years ago, I helped a friend to filt things for a christmas market. Filting fascinated me so much that I continued filting and took courses to learn more about the technique.
My fascination has now evolved into a small production of i.e. foot-warmers, tea-coats, luffers, christmas decorations, shawls pretty much all for friends and acquaintances.

Many people are interested in seeing the things that I filt. Therefore, to make these products available for all, I have decided to create this website.

I wish to make foot-warmers especially for people who have difficulties in acquiring shoes that fit. Most often this can be because of swollen feet, cuts and bruises or deformed feet.

To be inspired, excel as well as evolve at filting, I continue to meet with other filting enthusiasts and my experienced filt teacher.
